KURINUKI lidded BOX WORKSHOP - sat 20 Jul, 2024
SOLD OUT - THANK YOU!
WHAT: Come spend a day with me on our little farm in Eumundi and create your own unique piece of ceramic art. You’ll make, texturise and decorate a small kurinuki style lidded vessel. Kurinuki means to ‘dig out’ in Japanese. So we start with a block of clay and end up with a lidded piece, perfect for items that don’t require air tight storage, like cotton balls, jewellery or even salt. Once your day of creativity is over, I’ll fire your work, then package it up for collection or shipping. Please note these are not overly technical workshops and have been designed to bring people together in a peaceful setting, for a day of creativity and fun,
WHERE: My studio at Dulili Farm, Eumundi
WHO: Max. 8 adults per workshop
DETAILS: 10:00am - approx. 4:00pm
COST: $245 pp (incl. tuition, all materials, firing, shipping of final works plus tea/coffee + a light lunch). NOTE: If you have dietary requirements or prefer a more substantial lunch, please bring along as we aren’t super close to shops
BOOKINGS: Via the link below
PS: If you’d like to experience even more of the Sunshine Coast, I suggest booking accomodation at HOLA Eumundi, a beautiful boutique hotel a short 5 minute drive from the farm. It’s next door to the fabulous Imperial Hotel, displaying incredible local art throughout its meticulously styled rooms. The hotel is also conveniently located across the road from the Eumundi markets (Wed and Sat).

PRIVATE WORKSHOPS
WHAT: Would you like to book a private studio session with a group of friends, work colleagues or perhaps for a special event? If a day of clay play in the beautiful Noosa hinterland sounds like your thing, then please get in touch. I can cater for 6-8 people for an immersive hands on experience. As a group you can select to make a small wall piece, platter or slab vase. Once your day of creativity is over, I’ll fire your masterpieces, apply your choice of glaze and fire once more. Your work will then be packaged up for your event host to collect and distribute to the group. These are not technical workshops and have been designed to bring people together in a peaceful setting, encourage creativity, laughter and enjoy delicious local produce, all while creating your own functional piece of ceramic art.
